Lake Guntersville Named Best Vacation Destination in Alabama Magazine’s Best in Bama Awards

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. — The Lake Guntersville Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Lake Guntersville has been named the Best Vacation Destination in Alabama in Alabama Magazine’s Best in Bama Awards.

The Best in Bama Awards celebrate the people, places, attractions, and businesses that make Alabama a special place to live, work, and visit. Winners are selected through a statewide voting process, recognizing destinations that have made a lasting impact on residents and visitors alike.

Known for our breathtaking scenery, outdoor recreation, world-class fishing, vibrant downtown, and welcoming community, Lake Guntersville continues to attract visitors from across the Southeast and beyond. From boating and hiking to dining, shopping, and waterfront relaxation, the area offers experiences for travelers of all ages and interests.

In announcing the honor, Alabama Magazine described Lake Guntersville as “Alabama’s largest lake and a fisherman’s paradise,” noting that the destination offers “so much more to do from year-round festivals and activities to unique shopping, dining experiences.” The publication also highlighted the area’s vibrant arts community and variety of lodging options, including hotels, cabins, condominiums, and waterfront campsites.
