Lesa Carnes Shaul, author of “Midnight Cry: A Shooting on Sand Mountain.” The event is free and open to the public.
As a native of Sand Mountain, Lesa Shaul tells of a true crime study on one of the most notorious stories of this area. Set in the 1950s, Shaul tells the story of the violent murders of four men on Sand Mountain, who were held responsible, the conviction, and the eventual story of life after
incarceration.
