Lake Guntersville State Park Kayak Launch & Rental Ribbon Cutting

The Friends of Lake Guntersville State Park, with support from the Alabama Scenic River Trail, have developed a safe and welcoming entry point for paddlers of all skill levels at the Lake Guntersville State Park Campground. The project includes a new kayak launch and a kayak rental system, increasing access to the Tennessee River for both campground guests and day visitors.

ASRT funding supported the purchase of kayak rental equipment, storage racks, and launch site preparation. While the launch location was moved closer to the parking area for accessibility and operational efficiency, the project has been well-received—rentals began with a soft opening this past weekend.
