Free Concert Series: Uncle Suffelo & The Haint Hollow Hootenany at Errol Allan Park

Uncle Shuffelo & His Haint Hollow Hootenanny Band

Mountain Valley Arts Council will host Uncle Shuffalo & Haint Hollow Hootenanny Band on Thursday, September 29th from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at Errol Allan Park in downtown Guntersville. Bring your fans, folding chairs, and friends.  Concessions and door prizes will available, and several downtown restaurants will stay open so you can pick up box dinners as the concert starts.

Uncle Shuffelo & His Haint Hollow Hootenanny is a seven-piece, old-time string band from Rover, Tennessee with a mission to relieve stress, give off good vibes, and cause a general feeling of well-being in all people, while promoting the awesomeness of old-time music. They can be counted on to deliver a high-energy performance influenced by Uncle Dave Macon, Grandpa Jones, the Carter Family and other old-time greats.

Members of the band include:

  • Austin Derryberry – fiddle, banjo, banjo uke, tenor banjo, guitar, harmonica, vocals
  • Conner Derryberry – banjo, bones, spoons
  • Brian Derryberry – Upright bass, vocals
  • Courtney Williams Derryberry – Guitar, banjo uke, tuba, vocals
  • Megan Williams – Washboard, kazoo horn, clarinet, vocals
  • Emma Jean Williams – Autoharp, jug, vocals
  • Keith Williams – Banjo tenor banjo, vocals

If rain occurs, the concert will be moved indoors to Guntersville Town Hall on Blount Avenue. If relocating the concert occurs, the change will be posted on MVAC’s Facebook page and MVAC’s website, mvacarts.org.

This Fall concert series is free to the public because it is funded by public donations, generous MVAC members and corporate sponsors, Alabama State Council on the Arts, City of Guntersville, Citizens Bank & Trust, and Walker & White Builders.
