Art Talks with local author, Steve Moultrie, at MVAC
October 19 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
Mountain Valley Arts Council will be hosting local author Steve Moultrie at its October 19th Art Talks at the MVAC Gallery at 440 Gunter Avenue in Guntersville. The Art Talks will be from 12:30 – 1:30 PM and is free to the public. Mr. Moultrie was raised in Albertville and currently lives in Guntersville.
His book, “My Storm, My Savior: Lessons Learned” was released in February 2023 and is available through online retailers as well as Walmart and Target in case you want to read it in advance. Steve will gladly autograph your copy when you come to the Art Talks.
Mr. Moultrie’s book is based on his firsthand experience of business and financial highs and lows (in that order) and the broken relationships that resulted. Even though everyone’s storms of life are unique, he hopes that others can learn some practical solutions from his book that will help them weather their own storms.
After reading the book, Sara Watkins of The Advertiser-Gleam commented in an article in April, “It’s not a light read by any means, but you somehow feel lighter by the end. It’s hard to explain the roller coaster of emotions the reader goes through in roughly 100 well-written pages, but I think that’s exactly how Mr. Moultrie intended it.” Mr. Moultrie shares his email address at the end of the book, and he gets emails, calls, and texts daily, which he says has been very rewarding.
Join us for this opportunity to hear from a local author with an uplifting message.
