Children’s Christmas Card Contest

Mountain Valley Arts Council will be sponsoring its Children’s Christmas Card Contest again this year with a lot of changes. Children in kindergarten through 5th grades in Marshall County are invited to submit their entries by November 22nd by dropping them by the MVAC Gallery at 440 Gunter Avenue in Guntersville.
Each entry should be on an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of paper and can be drawn with crayons, pencils, markers, or paints. No three-dimensional elements should be used other than paper collage. On the back of the entry, please put the child’s name and grade, the parents’ names, towns, and phone numbers. All entries will be displayed at the MVAC Gallery during the Holiday Art Market and on MVAC’s website at mvacarts.org in December.
Winners will be announced and given awards at the MVAC Gallery on Saturday, December 3rd at 4 PM, right before Night Before Christmas. MVAC staff will call the parents of the winners in advance, and the parents can decide whether to leave the awards as a surprise. The Photo Booth for the Night Before Christmas will also be in the gallery for immediate photo ops.
