DESCRIPTION:The Wall that Heals – Athens State University \nDATE: Thursday\, November 6 – Sunday\, November 9 \nLOCATION: Beasley Field – 415 E Hobbs St\, Athens\, AL 35611 \nDETAILS: \n Open 24 hours a day | Free & open to the public\nJoin us in honoring those who served and sacrificed in the Vietnam War through The Wall That Heals\, a three-quarter scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington\, D.C.\, and Mobile Education Center.\nThe Wall and Mobile Education Center will be on Beasley Field on the campus of Athens State University from November 6–9\, 2025.\nVisitors will have the opportunity to reflect\, remember\, and learn as they walk along the 375-foot-long wall\, which bears the names of over 58\,000 men and women who served in Vietnam. The Mobile Education Center will feature our Hometown Heroes and In Memory Honor Roll\, memorabilia\, and a deeper look into the history and impact of the war.\nFree Tours for The Wall That Heals and Mobile Education Center are open to veteran groups\, corporate groups\, schools\, teams\, and all other organizations.\nNot with a group? They will be introduced as they pass by and will be close enough to the dock at Levi’s for residents to hail to them as they sail past. \nCome out and show your appreciation to these brave patriots for their service and sacrifice.
