SUMMARY:Robert Rivers Contemporary Art Exhibit at Guntersville Museum
DESCRIPTION:Recently awarded the 2021 Florida Prize in Contemporary Art for his The Promised Land series\, Robert Rivers is a noted artist and fine art professor at the University of Central Florida. \nSince his earliest childhood growing up in Guntersville\, Rivers has always drawn pictures. A graduate of Auburn and the University of Georgia in Athens\, Robert’s work has been exhibited worldwide. \nThe Promised Land is Rivers’ response to his nephew’s death in Afghanistan. Repeating iconic images drawn from his experiences\, from the mythology of many cultures\, and from historical depictions\, these paintings are both a tribute to Thomas. \nOn view will be 19 images curated from the series. \n  \nClick flyer for more information
