Concert Organist Friedemann Stihler began his professional life as a certified physical education, mathematics, and special needs educator in Mannheim, Germany. At age five, he took up piano lessons, followed by organ lessons. He gave his first organ concert at age ten. Over that period, he conducted multiple choirs, and in 1998 he founded and directed the semi-professional concert choir “Joyful Voices” with whom he toured to acclaim throughout Europe, the United States and Canada for 20 years.
Mr. Stihler serves as organist and musical director at Saint Joseph’s Episcopal Church in McDonough, Georgia. He is a member of the American Guild of Organists (AGO) and also of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). He maintains a private piano and organ studio at his home in Mount Zion, Georgia, where he and his wife have lived since 2017. He is a frequent studio recording artist, having produced seven CD’s under his trademark name “Rockin’ Organ”.
